UPDATE 3-25-25:  Nelson had a very necessary dental and lost many rotten teeth.  He is so much happier and doesn't indicate that he is in pain any longer.  We will re-check his lab work in a few more weeks. He only weighed 14 pounds upon arrival and has gain 2 necessary pounds.  He still could use a little more meat on his bones.  Structurally, his spine/hips are in great shape for his age (x-rays and activity level verified this). 

3-3-25: NELSON is a delightful old man who was dumped off at an animal shelter when his owner had a life-threatening medical crisis.  He has been neglected for many years, and while he is a happy boy, we will be addressing all necessary care that will help him be more comfortable in what time he has here in this life.  HE DID NOT DESERVE THIS....but he is safe now.
